Andrew Livingstone

Being the son of a Special Needs Teacher and an ex-Head Teacher, life in theatre does not run in the family. Andrew randomly auditioned for a show at his primary school and he first performed on stage aged 9, and loved it! He then joined the Mercury Youth Theatre, Colchester and enjoyed many years both as part of the Youth Theatre and playing young parts in the Professional Repertory Company (Ion, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, A Midsummer Nights Dream) as well as roles in plays for the Pulse Fringe Festival 10/11 (Tu I Terez, Darkness). It was during these experiences he learnt about the life of an actor and that it was a possible carer. Andrew was then granted an Associate of the London College of Music ALCM in 2010. He joined National Youth Theatre (Cat in the Hat – Fast forward 4- National Theatre, Olympic Team Welcoming Ceremonies- London 2012) before he began studying on the BA: Hons Acting at Rose Bruford College, London where plays include (Wastewater, A View from a Bridge, Caucasian Chalk Circle, East of the Sun West of the Moon, Macbeth). He has volunteered in India, USA and the UK and his memories and experiences often inspire and inform his work. He believes actors can be at the heart of the creation their own work. He has since been an Assistant Director (A View From a Bridge- RB, Hard Times-Mercury Theatre) and now Producing and Acting in Novemberunderground for Theatre503, Lakeside Theatre and The Underbelly with Burning Oak Theatre.
