Jamie Wright


Jamie is a second year BA Theatre and Performance Studies student at the University of Warwick with experience in production, technical roles, front of house management and marketing.

Since arriving at Warwick, Jamie has been involved with a whole host of productions; initially through acting in Laughing in the Face of Danger, (FreshFest 2013); Taming of the Shrew (WUDS in the Woods), and Bryony Davies’ production of Techies (WSAF).

In association with Freshblood Theatre, Jamie fulfilled the role of FreshFest co-coordinator of FreshFest 2014; a theatre festival promoting the work of original student drama and first-time theatre direction. Jamie recently been elected as the new President of Freshblood New Writing for 2014-2015. In February 2014 Jamie co-produced Warwick University Drama Society’s production of Jean Anouilh’ s Antigone performed at the Warwick Arts Centre; and most recently worked as Marketing Manager for WUDS’ production of Eugene O’Neill’s The Hairy Ape presented at the Warwick Arts Centre 7th – 10th May.

Moving forward to this summer; Jamie is currently fulfilling his role as Producer with The Human Animal Theatre Collective, taking a promenade production of Simon Stephen’s Wastwater to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (30th July – 16th August 2014 exclusively), awarded the Clive Barker Award for Performance and the Lord Rootes Memorial Fund.

In the new academic year Jamie will be producing Codpiece Theatre/Freshblood New Writing’s production of Souvenirs – playing at the Warwick Arts Centre in November 2014.
