Lolly Jones

The comedienne behind viral sensation Charlie Brooker Ruined my Life (20,000 views in its first day) and writer of the internationally renowned Lolly does London blog (90,000 hits), Lolly Jones comes to Edinburgh with her debut show.

Temping in 'Sexminster', Lolly fails to understand herself or any Prime Minister’s Question. Escaping on social media and Google Mapping her enemies, an un-poked Lolly mocks our collective timeline, questioning friendships that are strung together with cat-based, satirical J-pegs.

Lolly leads us through her hashtag ‘meta’ existence with screen grabs and first hand anecdotes.

Is it acceptable to ‘Check in’ at a funeral? Does food taste better if Instagrammed first? And did she really Snapchat an MP’s chubb?

As an actress/stand up, Lolly has recently appeared at the Brighton Fringe, on BBC Radio 4 and as part of the sketch team for BBC’s Weekly Wipe. Last year she was runner up for the John Neville Prize at the Nottingham Playhouse. She is also a regular contributor to Time Out Magazine, London. Most recently, she could be seen selling dildos in Murdered by my Boyfriend for BBC3.
