Winners of ‘Best Performance’ at the Bangor University Society Awards for two years running, BEDS (Bangor English Dramatic Society) presents an adaptation of the Miguel de Cervantes novel ‘Don Quixote’.

Don Quixote is a comedic reimagining of the classic novel that incorporates elements of physical theatre, mask work, and a cappella.

Don Quixote is heading off for an adventure; no matter what anybody else has to say about it. Inadequately assisted by his companion, Sancho Panza, Don Quixote finds trouble wherever he lands and can never talk his way out! On a journey to find his lost love Dulcinea, he is constantly battling between two clashing worlds: reality and fiction.

BEDS are a long-standing student theatre group from Bangor University. Having previously performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with Easter Eggs (2013) and The Yellow Wallpaper (2012); BEDS return to the Fringe for a rambunctious adventure with a contemporary twist, full of laughter, chivalry, and outlandish encounters.

We are performing 11th-23rd August 2014 (not 17th) at Spaceuk in Surgeon's Hall (Venue 53) at 19:05 and tickets cost £5.
