SUMMARY

A twisted Texas tale of beauty, murder, and big hair. After the tragic death of Houston real estate developer and beauty pageant owner, Don Swan, the usual suspects dish the dirt on the man, the myth, and the truth about what was really under his cowboy hat.

Texas Beauty Pageant Murder: The Fall of Don Swan is a devised one-act absurdist film noir comedy that investigates the myth of Don Juan in the current wake of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. A collaboration between the Theatre and Music Departments at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, it combines research from Mozart to Molière and Harvey Weinstein to Donald Trump in order to rip apart the most ambiguous figure pertaining to masculine sexuality.
