Hailing from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, The Happy Accidents first became a thing in 2013, after aspiring actors and insufferable best friends Chris Fox & Daniel Sean Henry discovered that they enjoyed writing daft songs together, and that people actually wanted to hear them. With Chris on music duties and Dan writing the words, their first collaborations - 'I'm In Love With My Reflection' and 'Welcome to Dewsbury' - were originally intended for a possible stage musical, but that idea was soon scrapped because it was absolutely rubbish. After settling on a name, the two began performing locally as a musical comedy duo, receiving what they have described as 'mildly ecstatic' audience acclaim. A woman in a pub once called their material "Yorkshire humour to the nth degree!" And she should know. Since their well-attended debut headline gig at Batley's Cellar Bar, The Happy Accidents have performed in venues from Huddersfield to London, via Amsterdam, and have been billed alongside celebrated Wakefield acts Skinny Living and punk poet Matt Abbott (aka Skint & Demoralized), a fellow Fringe artist.

Now, in August 2015, this reasonably dynamic duo are delighted to be making their Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut, with their show 'Cheer Up, It Might Never Happen!' Overflowing with their own unique brand of northern humour, it features genre-spanning, irresistibly catchy songs of the everyday. There are a handful of twisted love ballads, a Muppet-esque ode to true bromance ('Brother From Another Mother'), a spoof Bond theme ('Everybody Knows His Name'), a pathetically narcissistic funk tune ('Sexiest Guys') a gritty hip hop anthem about a beloved hot beverage ('T.E.A.P.A.R.T.Y.') - and more! With bouncy melodies, witty lyrics and infectious stage chemistry, this hour-long show really is worth the ticket price! (Please note, entry is free)
