Sarah Callaghan

Sat 6th – Mon 8th Aug 2016

“Beautifully honest and infectiously upfront stand-up”

Award winning comedian, actor and writer Sarah Callaghan, one of the youngest comics on the circuit, will be gracing the stage at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe with her beautifully honest and infectiously upfront style.

In her brand new show 24, this class-one comedian laments how young people are scorned for their lack of experience, and never taken seriously. Consulting the font of wisdom that is Facebook, Sarah locates '10 steps that WILL improve your life in 24 hours’. After dutifully carrying out these 10 steps, Sarah shares with her audience the hilarious consequences of looking for a quick-fix-kit to life!

Sarah began performing comedy in 2010, and her unique stage persona has quickly made its mark, leading her to become a Funny Woman finalist the following year.

Named as a rising star, and ‘one to watch’ by Time Out Magazine, Sarah Callaghan has been widely heralded as an exciting new comedic vice, a status cemented by her Malcolm Hardee Award nomination for ‘Act Most Likely To Win A Million Quid’ in 2015, following her previous award success in 2013 where she was a finalist in the ‘Leicester Square New Act Competition’, and winner of ‘Up The Creek One To Watch’.

Described as ‘a powerhouse’, Sarah Callaghan is not one to miss having blown up last year’s Fringe Festival with her critically-acclaimed debut show Elephant, which then went on to receive a run of shows at the Soho Theatre in 2016.
