Oxford Revue Presents

SUMMARY

The Oxford Revue has selected the cream of new student comedy acts, both sketch and stand-up, and now that cream is ready to be deep-fried in the searing hot vegetable oil of Fringe audience appreciation. Like all Edinburgh pub fare, The Revue Presents is pleasing to the senses and will make you feel a little bit guilty.

22-25 AUGUST: TOBY MATHER & ALEX FOX

TOBY MATHER

When Toby was seven he heard his parents having sex and it troubled him psychologically and he had to speak to specially trained people about it so now he tries to transfer the emotional difficulties he faces onto people sitting in chairs listening to him via the medium of poetry and nursery rhyme and other words that are more difficult to categorize into genres.

ALEX FOX

Alex Fox can't deal with people, so he's created a cabal of fictitious characters, each more troubled than the last. Alex has poured all of his flaws into these individuals, leaving a shell of a man behind. What’s left of him can be found repeating Ian McKellan impressions over and over again. In the dark.
