Michelle Wormleighton: Bewildered

Fri 24th – Sat 25th Aug 2012

NO UPCOMING PERFORMANCES

“Heady Days of Silk-Shrouded Prigging.”

Michelle Wormleighton

SUMMARY

Michelle Wormleighton brings her first solo show to Edinburgh, combining the theatrical and the comedic with a sense of the bizarre, absorbing herself into a series of charming yet troubled characters guaranteed to amuse and confound in equal parts.

From Maggie the holiday-averse raconteuse, to failed and jaded actress Clorette von Braun, through Candice Jobbs and her fatuous musings on just about everything, expect a veritable cocktail of thought-provoking whimsy.

Michelle has been writing and acting since 2001, and has received acclaim for ensemble theatrical pieces at previous Fringe festivals including Ben Elton’s Popcorn in 2004 (“Michelle Wormleighton was great” – Richard Biggs, Hairline).

Director Louise Ford (aka cult 2012 fringe hit 'Jenny Fawcett') is one half of acclaimed duo Ford and Akram (“Sheer joyful silliness. ****” – The List) and brings her own unique twist to the proceedings.
