Tonight With Donny Stixx

Fri 3rd – Sat 25th Aug 2018

“Expect to be surprised. Expect to be amazed. But most of all...expect the unexpected!”

Fear No Colours

Donny Stixx is on the fast track to becoming the greatest magician of our time. His aunt – sorry, manager – is constantly busy booking his shows all over town, and it’s only a matter of time before his TV show deal is in the bag. All his stage costumes are sparkling and twinkling, and his lovely assistant is mere weeks away from getting rid of the braces on her teeth. It’s all perfect, really.

If only magic could fix that thing at St. Joseph’s. But Donny’s not here to talk about that. So don’t even ask. And whatever you do, don’t believe the things you read on the internet about him. Because everybody lies, don’t they?

Just forget all that. Sit back, let yourself be entertained and above all: expect the unexpected!

Philip Ridley’s spectacular tale of Donny is a rollercoaster ride of emotion, both darkly hilarious and gut-wrenchingly harrowing. It provides a stark and unflinching exposure of comment section cruelty, internet bullying and how a parent’s love, no matter how strong, can never fully protect their child from the world.

The play is a companion piece to Dark Vanilla Jungle, which Fear No Colours performed at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe to great critical acclaim.

Admission: £8.50(£6.50) – £11.50(£9.50)
