"A man finds himself alone in the mountains.

The last time he was here, she was there too."

A man has gone into the mountains alone. As the cold sets in, he confronts memories of friends and family in a series of increasingly surreal flashbacks. Romantika’s latest production is a humorous and sincere exploration of male grieving with Scandinavian folk music and physical theatre.

Founded in Tallinn, Estonia, Romantika has a team from both the UK and Sweden.

We create unique, visually striking and international performance work that reflects our current time. We combine a broad range of artistic practices to tackle work with an approach that is intentionally varied. All productions are devised by the performers in the ensemble.

We have international experience and training. Our members have trained at European theatre institutions in London (UK), Tallinn (Estonia), Barcelona (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic) and Bratislava (Slovakia). For other projects, members have worked internationally, producing work in the USA, England, Scotland, France, Italy and Sweden.
