Boris and Sergey

Award-winning darlings of the Fringe and recipients of over fifteen five star reviews, Flabbergast Theatre’s Boris & Sergey present for your viewing pleasure an hour of explosive action, as dark as it is fun.

Hilarious and heartfelt, the infamous Balkan Bad-Boys of puppetry invite you to discover ‘what’s in the box?’ and present the international debut of Sergey’s one man show.

But what are Boris & Sergey without a Boris... or a Sergey? Just a lonely, rage filled ampersand, hell bent on retribution.

Audiences are invited to join these foot-tall cult Fringe Favorites on yet another high-octane-bittersweet-hyphenated-epic adventure.

This explosive action-packed hour blurs the lines between theatre and cinema as Boris & Sergey, fully aware they are puppets and using this to their full advantage, interact with their puppeteers, audience and each other. And for the first time, incorporating background projection to further enhance their little bunraku existences. They and their loyal puppeteers duck, dive and dodge through their most epic adventure, making audiences laugh, cry, love, hate and pity simultaneously.

Boris & Sergey’s One Man Extravaganza brings together a wonderful mix of the unexpected, comedy, play and quips, plus an audience interactive game show thrown into the mix, along with some really touching moments which are both heart-warming and heart-breaking.

Formed in 2010 Flabbergast was set up to make uncompromising and exciting physical theatre in a belief that all theatre should be engaging and sweaty. With particular interest in puppetry, their leaning is currently towards exploring puppetry for adult audiences. Boris & Sergey’s shows aims to break the preconception prevalent in the UK that puppetry is a children's medium.
