SUMMARY

Critically acclaimed theatre company Living Record Productions return to Edinburgh with the Premiere Production of award-winning playwright, Jodi Gray – THROWN

Constance Ellis was a doctor. Is a doctor. She also - um - will be a doctor, actually.

With a microphone shaped like the human head, and an audience with wireless headphones on, Thrown is the sensory and cinematic new play using Binaural Sound Technology inspired by collected testimony

“Would you want to know how many days, if you were me? And if you knew how many days, would you count them?”

Colliding new(ish) technology with old(ish) philosophy, Living Record Productions explore consciousness, mortality, and the inevitable moment we are thrown from childhood into the chaotic and fallible adult world.

“The little one is listening still. Still there. Still beating heart and breathing lungs and believing, believing - Believing me.”

Living Record Productions has headed in an exciting new direction since it’s Edinburgh Fringe appearances of previous years - now focused on creating multi-narrative, multi-sensory theatre that uses innovative technology for a unique and breathtakingly intimate connection to the stage for each individual audience member.

In a time of divisive politics and deep personal scrutiny, Thrown is a heartbreaking look at the chaotic and fallible world we live in. It’s a one-woman show about who we are and what we’ve lived through - a reminder that we are all just the sum of our experience - that delivers intensity, dark humour and a deep appreciation of the stories we’ve survived to tell.
