Coughing Sheep

Lucy Frederick and Peter Henderson

Directed by Vincent Adams

Desperately hunting a last minute leading man, Lucy reluctantly presents her father, keen rambler and tropical fish enthusiast Peter Henderson in the lost Russian classic Coughing Sheep.

Dad arrives in Edinburgh clutching a copy of Drusilla Adam's Acting bible, 'Art of Becoming'. Familiar family tensions re-ignite as Lucy struggles to handle Dad’s obsessive fish based tendencies and interpretative use of custard.

This is Lucy Frederick’s 3rd Edinburgh:

In Pursuit of Cool 2013 and The Claw of Anxiety 2014.

Notes to Editors.

Lucy and Peter met in 2005 at the White Bear in Berezina, directed by Vincent Adams. Having no family to call her own, Lucy subsequently adopted Peter as her ‘Pretend Dad’, an arrangement which suits Peter very well, as he only has to buy pretend presents on their shared birthday.
