SUMMARY

On October 12 1998, Matthew Shepard ( a gay university student) was found tied, having been brutally beaten, to a fence outside Laramie, Wyoming. He died six days later. His death sparked national awareness against hate crime. Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project travelled to Laramie and interviewed members of the town in light of this incident. This play is constructed from those interviews. With music from Bob Dylan, this play brings light moments to a tragic story.
