Garden O' Delight

Mon 29th Jul – Sun 11th Aug 2013

“Journey back in time and join magical creatures who live in this beautiful world.”

Theatre Alba

This year’s show for children has an ecological theme. We show what can happen to our planet if we do not look after it, and how some very stupid and ignorant people who do not understand how important all nature is to us now, and in the future can ruin it all for us and generations to come.

While helping to save the planet in this outdoor promenade performance the audience travel through the beautiful Dr. Neil’s Garden meeting some very magical and funny characters there. We have music, and singing written for us by the well known musician John Sampson known for his work with Carol Ann Duffy , and there is lots of interactive fun for all ages as we wend our merry way through the garden.

We have been putting on children’s shows here in Duddingston for ten years now to critical acclaim, and one year we toured to Auchindrain in Argyll. We are hoping to receive some funding to tour this production in the near future.
