SUMMARY

What is normal? This zany and clever play takes an irreverent look at the need to ‘act normal’ and centres on a family being investigated by the Normal-Inspector. As the Inspector himself finds he is being investigated, the play twists and turns with a ruthless comic logic. Normal is part scathing satire on contemporary surveillance society, and subversive call for a revolt against conformity. Written by Paul Wallis, it was a winning play in Trinity College London’s International Playwriting Competition 2010. Performed by students from the Perth Youth Theatre. Directed by Alasdair Hunter.
