SUMMARY

With equality nearer, which gay stereotypes do we all live up to or take for granted? What a Gay Play centres on an evening at married couple Matt and Lee's where their friends soon lose inhibitions with each other, along the way looking under some of the common stereotypes of what gay life is, especially in 2014, post gay marriage and in a vein similar to Queer as Folk and Looking. There’s unrequited love in the room, Matt’s new work colleague and scene newbie Josh who’s been befriended at the gym.

A debut piece of writing from a former stage manager this late night comedy written especially for Edinburgh plays with some usual rules of theatre as perhaps only the fringe can, with the 4th wall broken, stylised scene changes and some audience participation along the way...
