Impro FX: The Improvised Panto

Sat 2nd – Sun 24th Aug 2014

“Some grown men and a bloke they met who can play the piano perform an entirely improvised pantomime based off your suggestions.”

Impro FX

Back for their second Edinburgh Festival, and fresh from a successful run at the Prague Fringe, Impro FX present their Christmas show The Improvised Panto!

An hour-long panto is spontaneously created on the spot, complete with hero, villain, love interest, dame, and entirely improvised musical numbers. Oh yes they are!

Impro FX are rapidly establishing a reputation as one of Scotland's foremost improv troupes. Made up of comedians, actors and musicians of international acclaim now at home in Edinburgh, they perform a fortnightly musical improv show at the Canons' Gait on the Royal Mile. They have also performed at the Kelburn Garden Party, Aberdeen's Blue Lamp, the Leith Festival, and the Prague Fringe Festival.

The Improvised Panto debuted in December 2013 for a five-night run, as Scotland's first home-grown improvised musical comedy.

Impro FX are an improvisational comedy troupe from Edinburgh, Scotland. Founded by Harry Gooch (Clive Anderson's Guessing Game, BBC Radio Scotland), the troupe also features Charlie Hindley, Will Naameh, Steve Worsley, Sam Irving and Dan McGurty (piano).
