“two teams of fearless improvisers pitched against each other by a ball-busting compere”

BattleActs! Productions / Free Festival

Well, we're a week in and thought we'd update you on BattleActs! - the bad news is, we've all got suspected scurvy. The good news is, we're packing out audiences and have even had people who have returned every day of our run, safe in the knowledge that there will always be something new, exciting and potentially bone-crunching happening onstage. Having been chosen London Time Out Critic’s Choice, The Independent on Saturday's Top Ten Comedy Show, Smirnoff Hot Pick and Fringe Review's Top Ten Impro Show AND Highly Recommended Show, BattleActs! are set to change perceptions of Free Fringe shows.

BattleActs! have been regulars on the London Impro scene since 2009, performing a regular slot at The Dogstar, Brixton, as well as such venues as the Camden Roundhouse, The Canal Cafe Theatre, and Bloomsbury Lanes.

BattleActs! sees two teams of fearless improvisers pitched against each other by a ball-busting compere. Each team attempts to prove their worth through a series of extreme and hilarious improvisational games such as Boris (a six-foot invisible giant who tortures murder suspects), New Choice (surreal takes on everyday situations at the audience’s request), and Story Die (where famous works of literature are mercilessly reinvented), as well as BattleActs' own twists on some classic games. No two shows are the same, with forfeits, (which can see you dancing on live mouse traps) and themed nights such as Battle of the Sexes, Royal Rumble, and The Pain Edition! to keep everyone on their toes!

Who will be victorious? Who will fall? This is no joke. Comedy just got nasty.
