SUMMARY

Two artists

Double booked

Under the name of 'Vertigo'

Perform both their shows

At the same time

In the same space

Alongside their own personal accounts, two solo artists improvise as extras for each other's performance. With two perspectives of a similar experience, over time they gradually burrow deep into each other’s narrative, to the point in which they become essential. Neither knows the end of the other story and yet they are somehow an integral part of it.

Vertigo: The sensation of movement while stationary.

Being 21 years old: The world is spinning around you and you are going nowhere.

This is a simple piece of storytelling which highlights how interconnected our lives, experiences and stories are without us even realising.

The (KINDLING) Project

Kindling is an exciting opportunity for emerging theatre makers to work with artistic director Rich Rusk and producer Sarah Crompton through Night Light Theatre Company. Kindling seek out and invite young artists to take the plunge and create a show—there is no right or wrong way of making a piece. Kindling exists to encourage talent to be bold and brave and do things their own way.

“I stood still and looked around me

The whole world took off around me and began to spin.”
