SUMMARY

“This young, energetic company have created an exhilarating piece of open minded and original theatre” Sho Shibata, StopGap

You wake to find a game board lying on your floor. Inquisitively you open it up and discover dice inside. You roll them … welcome to the game! What will become of the choices we make, the numbers we roll and the cards that we take?

Taking the audience through the last century, highlighting both major and minor historical events, Canvas Theatre’s show engages the audience - triggering memories, tiptoeing over some very controversial topics, and yet maintaining moments of hilarity.

‘Life’s a Game’ falls under the genre of mixed media entertainment, as in addition to live performance the show contains a variety of film and moving imagery, original music and iconic media. Telling familiar stories in unfamiliar ways, through text, physical theatre, dance and music, ‘Life’s a Game’ entertains throughout.

“It's always refreshing to find a group which bucks the trend, and

dares to think outside the box” (The Scotsman, EdFringe 2010)
