SUMMARY

Originally conceived as a ten minute short for ‘Little Pieces of Gold’ at Camden’s Etcetera Theatre, PATHOS, WHOLESALE has now been expanded and revised as a full one act play. This satirical comedy takes place in a dystopian Britain in which thoughts and feelings are subject to licensing. A lone civil servant decides to remove herself from the corrupt system that she is subjected to. But negative feelings are sold out. After all, there is a Depression on.

“Have a …… day”

Starring Victoria Pinder and Hayley Jeffrey, this World Premiere performance highlights the plight of the public sector worker and questions the motives of the current government. A topical, cynical comedy.

Written by Liverpool playwright David P. Griffiths. Setting up Rebel Base Productions in late 2010, David’s plays have featured at the Liverpool Actors Studio and Camden’s Etcetera Theatre. David’s farcical comedy, ‘Excess Baggage’ also features as part of the Edinburgh Fringe following a sell-out performance at the Liverpool Write Now Festival.
