SUMMARY

Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, combining the “verbal menace of Harold Pinter and the physical violence of Quentin Tarantino” (Sunday Times), Mojo wowed the critics on its 1995 debut. Acorn Productions presents a new version of the fast-paced, brutal, and hilarious tragicomedy, starring students from Guildhall, LAMDA and Oxford University.

Mojo follows the fast-talking, heavydrinking, pill-popping employees of the Atlantic nightclub in 1958. When their boss is found sawn in half in two dustbins, the boys have to deal with a terrifying external threat, mounting internal tensions, and one hell of a comedown.

The show for which Butterworth picked up the Evening Standard and George Devine Awards for Most Promising New Playwright, the ‘Royal Court’s most dazzling mainstage debut in years’ (Guardian) promises an evening of anarchic fun, tension and rock and roll.
