Dumbshow

SUMMARY

When a boy with no heart is washed ashore, the Professor and his creations vow to bring him back to life. Clockheart Boy learns with wide-eyed wonder the joys of stargazing, dancing, romance and friendship. Yet he soon discovers that a shadow lies over this secluded castle, in the form of the Professor's young daughter, who disappeared many years before. Dumbshow invite you an original fairytale that explores the destructive effects that grief and love can bring. Clockheart Boy meditates on death whilst fizzing with life.

This enchanting family show returns to the fringe to steal your heart; with a hauntingly beautiful piano score by Rollo Clarke and script by Sam Gayton, whose debut novel The Snow Merchant will be published by Andersen this autumn.
