Force Quit

Fri 5th – Wed 17th Aug 2011

“New piece of physical theatre set to premiere at Fringe.”

SMC Youth Group

This August, twelve highly talented performers from the St Mary’s College Youth Theatre will be performing their brand new piece of physical theatre Force Quit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

In Force Quit the company explore memory as the bridge that connects a person to reality and ask what if the bridge you cross belongs to someone else? Force Quit is a sloping, sinister look into how memories are formed and how they shape our character. The company will present a stripped down, raw performance that takes theatre back to basics to explore how memories form, change and delete.

The group, who won praise with their run of The Piano Project at last years Festival, will again be performing at The Bongo Club from the 5th to the 16th of August, daily at 4pm.

The performers were specially chosen from the college’s 25 strong theatre company. Force Quit has been created entirely by the company, and is the latest in a line of original work taken to Edinburgh to perform at the Fringe every year.

Admission: £5 – £7(£5)
