SUMMARY

Starring Alfred Enoch in his first major role after the

Harry Potter series, Acorn Productions revive their

hilarious and gripping, five star production of Moira

Buffini’s Dinner

Paige is hosting a dinner party like no other; a banquet of Primordial Soup,

Apocalypse of Lobster and Frozen Waste. In honour of her misanthropic husband

Lars, she’s invited genitalia-painting artist Wynne and bickering newly-weds Sian

and Hal – but when a van crashes through the fence, feelings overflow, insults

are thrown and secrets are revealed as the silent waiter watches on.

Fast-paced and darkly hilarious, Dinner promises to leave audience members

laughing and crying on the edge of their seats, watching helplessly as chaos

reigns and lives fall apart.

In writer Moira Buffini’s own words: ‘It’s a tragedy really… But I got away

with it because it’s so bloody funny.’

Acorn Productions is a company dedicated to creating artistically exciting,

technically sound, and visually impressive theatre. It aims to provide support for

directors to realise their creative vision, whether this involves twenty-four actors

and an orchestra in a large playhouse venue or a cast of two in a small black-box

studio. Acorn Productions has a strong history of artistic success and their shows

are notable for the critical acclaim received for each and every production

element, coupling directorial vision and first-rate acting with exceptional design,

lighting, sound and choreography.

Acorn Productions’ Dinner played in Oxford to critical acclaim:

‘This Play is A Must See... I could not recommend more that everyone who can should go and watch this’ !!!!! Oxford Theatre Review
